Introduction

Facing History and Ourselves is the course about feel and learning the Holocaust, by watching movie or film and pictures or documents about Holocaust; we learn why Nazi’s did that, what were happened during the Holocaust and how Nazis gave pain to the victims of Holocaust, etc…We learn all about the Holocaust as detail. By taking this course also we learn the importance of human being and how to respect people. This course makes people to realize their selves and think their selves.

I can say that I’m a kind of patriot girl to myself. The reason why I chose this course is, when I was in elementary school student I read a book ‘Anne Frank’s Diary’ during the vacation. That book was really shocking that time. And I found that the Holocaust is a tragic history event like my country Korea’s sad history by Japan. So I get interested in the Holocaust and I wanted to know more and study about the Holocaust more. However, I couldn’t find more detail information about Holocaust at that time.

Fortunately, when I select the course, for senior year, there was Facing History and Ourselves course. I chose right away. During taking this course, I really shocked at everything about the Holocaust. It was much more tragic, horrible and sad than I thought before start this class. I could know how the Holocaust get started and what Nazis did to the victims during the Holocaust. Listening and watching the Holocaust from films and movies. I feel the Holocaust even it was not a direct.
